World Central Kitchen is a not-for-profit organization providing meals in the wake of natural disasters. Founded in 2010 by chef José Andrés, the organization prepared food in Haiti following its devastating earthquake, in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria, and deployed food production to the scene of several other natural disasters in recent history.
During the COVID-19 crisis, WCK has responded by providing meals to those stranded on the Grand Princess cruise ship, turning several of Chef Andrés' restaurants in DC and NYC into soup kitchens, and working tirelessly to respond to the needs of those in need. I'm ecstatic to support these amazing folks and their work through my stupid comedy video!
